dbQwikSite - Editions
There are 6 Editions of dbQwikSite:
Building on each other:
Each edition builds on the previous adding new features, but never removing features.
You can upgrade between editions at any time, paying only the difference in the price between the two editions.
Projects created with each edition is upwardly compatible so you never loose your project work. Projects created with higher editions can be read by lower ones, but the limitations of the edition will restrict the generated output. For example you can open a project created with Ecommerce Edition with Pro, but if that project contains e-commenrce pages (shopping cart and check-out) they will not be generated.
Personal Edition (PE):
Personal Edition can do more than before, you can view all page types and create multiple group projects limited to a total of 25 pages. PE is a single scripting language edition you can activate (PHP, ASP, or ASP.net) via the web, no personal information is required for the activation process, however you can optionally register for support if you wish. PE adds "branding" banners to your pages at is has in the past. The code generation speed in PE is limited.
Publisher is a "display" edition. This means it will create display and search pages, but no data management pages or on-line forms. If you only need to display your data online publisher offers a cost effective solution. Publisher is a single language edition and you must select the scripting language at time of purchase. Publisher is limited to 50 pages per project.
Pro remains our powerhouse edition with all features except the e-commerce extensions. Pro generates all script languages and has no page limits.
E-commerce Edition is the same a Pro, except that it adds e-commerce extensions including shopping carts, orders, inventory, tax and payment gateway support.
Developer Edition (Dev):
Developer Edition is the same a E-Commerce, and adds the support for custom code. Developer is intended for those who have client-side (Java Script) scripting or server side (ASP/PHP) scripting experience. While aimed to support the demands of professional web programmers, many intermediate user find this version useful, allowing them to insert code snippets they find on the web or elsewhere.
Full Trial (Trial)
Full trial is a fully functional version of developer edition that runs for 30 days.
