Filtering Records |
|
|
Sometimes you may not want every record from your table to appear in your dataset. If this is the case, you can filter your dataset by some criteria.
Example: Your customer list may contain customers from many countries, but in your dataset, you may only want customers from the UK. You can filter your data to include just UK customers.
To filter your dataset:
1. Right Click on the field you want to filter and select Filter from its pop up menu.
2. The Filter dialog box appears
3. Click the Add button to define another filter criteria
4. Click OK
From the example above, First, you right click the "country" field, then select "=". After that you type in the "UK". The result will display only customers living in UK.
